You can only give so much of yourself before you need to realize you've got to take a second to breathe and ask yourself, "Yo, self, you doin ok in there?" I'm constantly overwhelming myself, booking a full schedule and forgetting how important dear sleep is.

Something I've been working on lately is pacing myself while also continuing to stay consistent with my goals. Filling my days from top to bottom can get rather tiring. Though I know the hard work is worth it, I need to keep in mind how important and vital to the soul days to myself are. I'll be on a roll for so long, I forget I'm just a human being doing all she can and it's alright to take a day away from adulting every now and then. With that being said, I'm in desperate need of a beach trip. San Diego weather currently is pointing away from the coast but I personally find something comfortable about laying on the sand in a hoodie and sweats wrapped my beach blanket in the cold weather. I happen to consider it perfect reading weather but damnit to hell if it rains on my parade. Although... there's nothing wrong with migrating the parade over to Young Hickory in North Park for a delicious hot and dirty chai.
